The Dream

The following is our statement of purpose and shapes our thinking and action as a church.

God has called us together.

Called us to be a community of disciples - together, following Jesus.

A community centred on God - offering worship and growing in relationship with him through prayer and listening.

A community which looks to Jesus, who shows us what it means to be fully alive in God.

A community living in the power of the Spirit.

A community based on authentic relationships, through which we spur one another on in whole-hearted discipleship, and find resources for transformation and growth.

A community where all are welcome and no-one stands alone, where love and care are real and practical; a living witness to the reality of God.

A community where each individual shares responsibility for the life and well-being of the whole, offering their gifts to this end.

A community which accepts the commission of Jesus, who sends us out as he himself was sent, to bring life and hope to the world.

A community which finds its place and its ministry within the whole people of God, the church, and honours every expression of the kingdom of God in the city of Bath and beyond.

This is our calling - this is what we can become - and to this we give our lives.
