Welcome to the Music / Worship / AV pages of Hay Hill's website.

HayHill Music-Worship-AV

We hope you will be able to find the information and resources you're looking for. If not, please contact Mark.

In November 2009, all members of the music group received folders with the 32 songs that made up our initial playlist in a new system which started in January 2010. Every three months, we have a big get-together which generally includes eating together, playing/practising some music together, handing out the latest updates for your folders, learning some new songs and of course worshipping God. The list will be revised in time for each of our quarterly get-togethers, giving us the opportunity to introduce new songs and keep the list fresh. The next get-together shall be at the end of May.

Roles

The folders also contain descriptions of the roles and responsibilities of Worship Leaders, Musicians and Singers, and AV Technicians. It is very important to read the page for your own role, and I hope it will be useful for you to read the others' roles and responsibilities. These are also provided in PDF format - see below.

Rotas

The rotas for the music group can be found on the Rotas page, where you can also see the other Sunday morning rotas. We shall try to do three month blocks at a time, but as the Met Office would agree, long-range forecasting is difficult, and changes may be required. Let me know dates you can't do as early as possible and we'll manage just fine!

Song List

The current list of songs you should have in your folders is reproduced online for quick reference (see below). Music for any additional songs will be provided on Sunday mornings where necessary. The words are displayed on the screen at church using OpenSong.

PA and Stage Setup

The PA equipment at Hay Hill is looked after by Al Coles, and we have a team of AV technicians led by Sam Doshi who are on a rota to man the sound desk on Sunday mornings.

Following the musicians' get-together in November 2009, Al set up the stage and PA channels in a format that we intend to keep for as long as possible. Please refer to the attached document.

It is very important that everything is ultimately left in this arrangement. It can be rearranged slightly for a service, in which case it must be returned to the standard setup at the end of that service. Vocal mics must always be plugged in to the clearly marked vocal leads, but singers can move to different positions if required.
